DIY: Make your own hair growth lotion

Posted on: January 19, 2011

If you remember my earlier experiment with the Imitation Garnier Fructis masque, then don’t be nervous.  This project was a success!  I wanted to concoct a scalp lotion to help manage my super curly newgrowth and stimulate the scalp at the same time.  While killing these two birds, I’ll be making my newgrowth more softer and encouraging blood flow to the scalp which will hopefully promote hair growth.

**There are no specific amounts to put into this lotion, just make sure that your lotion stays at a consistency as such.

I used:

ORS Olive Oil Hair Lotion

1 crushed up Biotin vitamin

5 drops of Peppermint oil

Shea butter

3 Vitamin E capsules

Coconut Oil

I mixed everything together in a color applicator bottle for easy application.  If the mix isn’t slightly warm, then it solidifies and it’s a little harder to get out of the bottle.  Put it in a cup of warm water for 10 minutes before you use it.  Make sure to massage to encourage blood flow : D. Enjoy!
